Hydrocephalus

Hydrocephalus

Hydrocephalus is a medical condition where cerebrospinal fluid accumulates in the brain, causing increased intracranial pressure. This condition can be congenital or acquired and can have various causes, such as central nervous system malformations, brain hemorrhages, or infections.

At Joemia Foundation, we support children with hydrocephalus by providing access to specialized medical treatments, neurosurgeries, cerebrospinal fluid drainage shunts, as well as rehabilitation therapies and ongoing emotional support for affected families.

Congenital Defects

Congenital Defects

Congenital defects are structural anomalies present at birth that can affect the child's physical and functional development. These anomalies can range from mild to severe and can involve the heart, brain, spinal cord, gastrointestinal system, and other systems.

Our work at Joemia Foundation focuses on providing comprehensive medical care to children with congenital defects. This includes precise diagnostic evaluations, corrective surgeries when necessary, rehabilitation therapies to promote motor and cognitive development, as well as psychological and educational support for families.

Pediatric Burn Center

Pediatric Burn Center

The Pediatric Burn Center provides specialized care for children who have suffered severe burns, whether from domestic accidents, fires, or traumatic situations. Burns can affect multiple layers of the skin and cause serious complications such as infections, painful scars, and functional limitations.

At our foundation, we support these brave children by providing access to advanced medical treatments, reconstructive procedures to restore function to affected areas, physical and psychological rehabilitation therapies to facilitate comprehensive recovery, as well as educational programs to prevent future accidents.
